CAARP Application Form
 

Artist & Curatorial Residencies (usually 1-3 months) hosted by Collective SML | k.

Current Application for Sessions from January 2022 to January 2023

$20 application fee.

Eligibility: We welcome applications from artists, curators, and scholars in all career stages. Groups/collectives may apply to work on joint projects. Still, the space can host up to 2-3 members at a time. The living space is open, and you will share the space.  Please see photos in the Residency page. The studios have light-duty ventilation (spray booth in the garage studio), so an art practice generating strong fumes cannot be accommodated.

 

Dates: Participants register for at least 1 month and up to 3 months. Please email Sammy if you want a weekly term or extended time. It can be accommodated based on availability.

Cost: Participant(s) pay $1500/month (for single occupancy, or $200 additional fee, if applied as a group, up to three)

 

Scholarship: One resident or collective will be selected (based on the strength of your application materials) by jurors to receive a free one-month residency.  The proposal reflecting the residency's vision will be preferred but not required.

Upload a single PDF of your portfolio, statement, bio & CV

Please submit one PDF of all your images (max 10) and your written materials as a single PDF document. MAXIMUM FILE SIZE is 15MB.  

 

Include 10 of your best work samples, especially any work that most directly relates to your proposed residency goals. 

For written statements, please send brief (200 words each) artist bio, artist statement and goal from the residency.
